We are in Oliveira do Hospital, in the Dão demarcated region.
Our work philosophy is simple: to create authentic wines that faithfully mirror their origin. We create "Terroir" wines, combining knowledge, art and nature to produce each wine with its own character.
We work exclusively with traditional Portuguese grape varieties from Dão such as Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz, Jaen, Alvarelhão, Baga, Tinto Cão and Rufete and on white grapes the Encruzado, Cerceal, Bical, Fernão Pires and Barcelo, because we believe that the grape variety has a fundamental importance in the identity of a wine.
The vineyards are between 560 and 600 meters high in sandy granite soils and are our priority from an early age. We adopted sustainable and organic viticulture practices, in favor of soil health and biodiversity in the vineyard.
In the cellar the intervention is minimal, the grapes are selected in the vineyard, we ferment with indigenous yeasts and we use ancient methods such as stone lagares. The evolution of the wine is monitored strictly so that each wine expresses the authenticity of our vineyards.
